Like the mythical Eklavya, it’s an effort by individuals who have a passion for theatre and want to give back to the society one of the greatest art forms- dramatics!!! A conglomeration of likeminded individuals- the angst purging out in the form of hard hitting plays that leaves the audience with food for thought! No taboo too big, no stigma stymieing enough to chain our creative flight.

An effort to strengthen the social and moral fabric, Eklavya is a SSR (Student Social Responsibility) initiative of SCIT. We don't preach. We mirror the society. We as individuals wait really stand up and tackle issues. Eklavya takes into cognizance this fact and involves its audience into waking up and making a change for good.

Eklavya endorses the fact that creativity cannot be the bastion of a few individuals. More the number of people, more suggestions, better plays. Hence the tag line- open source nautanki.....

Like this Eklavya celebrates the glorious traditions of theatre, and also looks with anticipation for the future opportunities, through making available the performances of both young inexperienced and the veteran by various acts. The dramatic arts are evolved through various heated discussions, beliefs and styles. Time and again activities are conducted to strengthen our bonds and invest in future to keep theatre activities going!!
